Breon Steele, a former Goose Creek High School standout, contributed to the Lander Bearcats’ 74-66 victory over the Columbus State Cougars on Sunday, March 15 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The opening-round contest was hosted at Abney Athletic Center at 5 p.m. and marked the Bearcats’ first tournament meeting with Columbus State.

Lander’s next tournament game is set for Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m. at Abney Athletic Center.
