The College of Charleston equestrian team lost to Centenary, 8-2, in the 2026 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Single Discipline semifinals on March 20.
The match saw the Cougars, seeded second, face off against third-seeded Centenary. The result means Charleston will not advance to the championship round this year.
Sophomore Kenda Murray and junior Lainie Rubin scored for the Cougars in the flat event with marks of 171 and 173, respectively. However, after the break, Centenary swept all five points in the fences discipline to secure their victory.
With this win, Centenary advances to compete against top-seeded Dartmouth in the ECAC Single Discipline Championship scheduled for Saturday.
