The College of Charleston equestrian team lost to top-seeded Lynchburg, 6-3, on April 18 in the NCEA National Championship at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
This event is significant as it marks Charleston’s continued presence at the national level. The team has competed for a National Championship in both seasons since joining the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA).
In Saturday morning’s competition, Samantha Aisenberg scored an 82.7 in fences to secure a point for Charleston. Kenda Murray added another point with an 85.7 score in flat, while Lainie Rubin contributed with an 81.7 score, also in flat.
Charleston entered the championship as a three-seed and faced strong competition from No. 1 seed Lynchburg.
