The Lander Bearcats, featuring former Goose Creek High School star Breon Steele, earned a 76-71 victory over the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.
The matchup, held at Finis Horne Arena at 2:30 p.m., marked the Bearcats’ first tournament meeting with the Railsplitters.
The Bearcats will return to the court on Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m. at Abney Athletic Center for their next contest.
