Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on December 2, 2025.
In her first post, Mace referenced the aftermath of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan under President Biden, stating on December 2: “What we’re seeing today is exactly why Biden’s disastrous, chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal still matters. This collapse empowered extremists globally and weakened America. We’re still dealing with the consequences.”
Later that day, she commented on changes at the White House following President Trump’s term, writing at 02:27 UTC: “Looks like they’re Hunter’s friends. Snow came early to the White House back then… Thanks to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, grace and true American elegance have returned to the People’s House.”
On legislative matters, Mace highlighted activity in the House Oversight Committee regarding federal hiring practices. At 15:19 UTC she posted: “TODAY in @GOPoversight, our bill H.R. 5235, the Skills-Based Federal Contracting Act, is being marked up. Washington shouldn’t demand a four-year degree for jobs which don’t require one. Skills > diplomas. Talent > paper.”
Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and resides in Charleston.
She graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
