U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, addressed several national issues on her Twitter account on March 24, 2026.
In a post concerning immigration enforcement at airports, Mace stated: “Unless you are in our country illegally, you have absolutely no reason to worry about ICE officers in our airports.” (March 24, 2026).
Later the same day, she commented on airline and government operations during a funding dispute affecting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). She wrote: “We applaud @Delta. If the Senate can’t get it together and fund TSA, let them feel what every other American is feeling. Stand with the people you’re supposed to serve.” (March 24, 2026).
On U.S. military policy regarding Iran, Mace made her position clear: “If a single boot of a single American soldier sets foot on Iranian soil, I will vote against this. I will not vote to fund sending South Carolina’s sons and daughters to die in a ground war in Iran.” (March 24, 2026).
Nancy Mace has served as a member of Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
