U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 4, 2025, addressing issues involving American Airlines and the Charleston Airport.

In her first tweet at 14:34 UTC, Mace wrote, “@AmericanAir my counsel would love to speak with your counsel”.

Later that day at 15:02 UTC, she added, “Just got word Elliott Summey and Charleston Airport are quote “freaking out” and trying to intimidate TSA (allegedly) and thereby trying to intimidate me (allegedly). Elliott honey, you’ve earned everything coming your way. I won’t tolerate a cover up, lies, or false incident”.

At 15:27 UTC the same day, Mace continued by questioning the actions of those involved: “What’s so hard about being honest and doing the right thing any more? @AmericanAir @iflyCHS”.

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace is an alumna of The Citadel, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1999.
