Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 16, 2025, addressing local environmental initiatives and offering pointed political commentary.

In her first tweet, Mace highlighted her office’s participation in a local conservation event, stating, “Our office attended ‘Wings Over Beaufort’ in support of the Carolina Bight Birding Center, a place where birds receive care and visitors can experience the beauty of nature across the Lowcountry. Millions of birds stop along the Carolina Bight each year through the Atlantic” (October 16, 2025).

Later that evening, Mace criticized New York State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani and made remarks about Democratic Party politics, writing, “’No opinion on Hamas.’ Translation: terrified to offend the pro-terrorist wing of the Democrat Party. Zohran Mamdani is so morally bankrupt he can’t say Hamas should lay down their weapons.” (October 16, 2025).

In a subsequent post, Mace commented on fiscal responsibility and party politics, stating, “Guess who’s footing the bill yet again for the Democrats’ derangement? YOU.” (October 16, 2025).

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021, after succeeding Joe Cunningham. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and is a graduate of The Citadel. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston.
