Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of statements on her social media account on February 2, 2026, addressing recent criticism and legislative action.
In an early morning post, Mace responded to media scrutiny with a defiant message: “I have enemies? Good. Get in line. It means I’ve stood for something. As NY Mag publishes the next hit piece on me, I have four words: I’m not going anywhere.” (posted February 2, 2026).
Later that day, she affirmed agreement with another statement by simply posting: “This is correct.” (posted February 2, 2026).
Addressing legislative matters, Mace wrote about her support for the D.C. CRIMES Act sponsored by Rep. Byron Donalds: “We voted YES on @RepByronDonalds’ D.C. CRIMES Act because soft-on-crime policies have FAILED this country. Public safety requires accountability. Violent offenders belong behind bars, not returned to the streets after committing serious crimes. Restoring law and order is” (posted February 2, 2026).
Mace has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston at age 45. Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
