Rep. Nancy Mace, U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, used her Twitter account on June 2, 2026, to address topics ranging from diversity policies in public service to local infrastructure improvements and congressional transparency.
In a post published at 01:30 UTC, Mace stated, “It does not matter who you are or where you come from. If you cannot do the job, you should not have the job. DEI has no place in the military, the FBI, the Secret Service, law enforcement, or fire departments. Putting DEI over merit will cost people their lives.”
Later that day at 12:30 UTC, she highlighted federal support for local infrastructure in Moncks Corner: “When Moncks Corner needed help making its streets safer, we delivered. We helped the town secure a $1.2 MILLION federal grant to advance a key infrastructure project designed to improve pedestrian safety, connectivity and access throughout Moncks Corner. At 14:30 UTC on June 2nd, Mace addressed efforts toward greater accountability in Congress by posting, “No one works harder to expose corruption in Congress and bring taxpayers real transparency. Mace has served as a member of Congress since defeating Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously represented her district in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston at age 45, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
