Rep. Nancy Mace, U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, shared a series of statements on her official Twitter account on May 12, 2026, addressing environmental issues and immigration policy.

In a tweet posted at 11:30 a.m., Mace highlighted her office’s involvement in an environmental initiative: “Our office attended an SCDNR press conference on the removal of an abandoned vessel in our waters. This vessel was causing ecological and economic harm, leaking fluid into our waterways, threatening our seafood supply, and posing serious safety hazards for boaters.”

Later that day at 2:02 p.m., Mace made a statement regarding immigration and veterans’ affairs: “We owe illegal immigrants nothing. We owe our veterans everything.”

At 3:01 p.m., she referenced legislative action related to immigration and public safety: “Our Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act passed the House over a year ago. It still hasn’t moved in the Senate. This bill keeps dangerous illegal aliens who harm women and children out of the United States. Violent criminals who are here illegally have no”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace is currently based in Charleston and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel (1999).
