U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, published a series of posts on January 20, 2026, addressing topics ranging from free speech and immigration policy to commemorating a constituent.

In a post at 13:43 UTC, Mace wrote, “Free speech means the government can’t silence you.”

Later that day at 15:00 UTC, she commented on federal emergency management and immigration policy: “FEMA is running a hotel service for illegal aliens while American disaster victims wait for help and our veterans live on the streets. Our Alien Removal Not Resort Stays Act terminates FEMA’s illegal alien shelter program and instead, redirects ALL funds to ICE for deportations.”

At 16:40 UTC, Mace reflected on the anniversary of Logan Federico’s birth with a message about justice reform: “Today is Logan Federico’s first Heavenly Birthday. Logan would have been 23 today had she not have been failed by the broken justice system in South Carolina. She was a light in this world with a bright future ahead of her and she is a reminder everyday of who we are working so”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston and graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
