Later that day at 17:30 UTC, she tweeted a broader statement: “America will never be the same.”

At 17:45 UTC, Mace addressed reactions to prayer for a murdered man with the comment: “Only in Democrat world is prayer for a murdered man ‘too much.’ https://t.co/vQi1XJU7Cj”.

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the state House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
