Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of tweets on September 18, 2025, addressing political accountability and referencing other public figures.

In her first tweet at 14:27 UTC, Mace wrote, “You would know about attacks.” Later that day at 15:13 UTC, she followed up with another post stating, “The Charlie Kirk effect.” At 15:29 UTC, Mace tweeted about holding Rep. Ilhan Omar accountable: “If you think holding Ilhan Omar accountable is ‘theater’ you’re telling the country loud and clear: you’re fine with political violence as long as it’s your side dishing it out.”

Nancy Mace has served in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after defeating former representative Joe Cunningham. She previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and currently resides in Charleston. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999.
