U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, posted a series of messages on her social media account on September 16 and 17, 2025, addressing political violence, a local memorial gathering, and the importance of law and order.
On September 16, Mace wrote: “If you support political violence, you won’t be supported by this state.”
Later that day, she commented on a recent community event: “Across the Lowcountry, hundreds gathered over the weekend to remember the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. To Erika Kirk, the Kirk family, and the entire @TPUSA family, we stand with you. “
The following day, Mace referenced an individual named Iryna Zarutska in another post: “Iryna Zarutska mattered. Law and order isn’t optional.”
Nancy Mace has served as a U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 1st District since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
