U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of statements on October 8, 2025, addressing issues ranging from public safety in New York City to economic development and law enforcement in South Carolina.
In her first post at 20:21 UTC, Mace commented on recent events in New York City, stating, “Calling for terrorism and mass genocide in the streets of New York City is beyond appalling. Radical Islam’s violent ideology targets not only the Jewish community, but also the very foundations of Western freedom and civilization. This is a direct threat to our safety and https://t.co/akjUBbujrV”.
Later that evening at 21:27 UTC, Mace highlighted an economic development in her home state: “Another win for South Carolina. Scout Motors is pumping $300M more into Blythewood, bringing 1,000 new jobs with it. South Carolina continues to lead in manufacturing because we don’t just talk about growth, we build it. https://t.co/exNBIhrpBy”.
At 22:15 UTC the same day, Mace turned her attention to law enforcement practices in Dorchester County under Attorney General Alan Wilson: “In Dorchester County, under Attorney General Alan Wilson’s watch, not one pedophile case went to trial and 92% were dismissed. Hundreds of predators walked free while survivors were denied justice. South Carolina’s chief law enforcement officer should be protecting children, https://t.co/QF72Y0SkNq”.
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
