Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, posted several messages on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on May 10, 2026, addressing issues ranging from child protection laws to Mother’s Day and public service.

In an early morning post on May 10, Mace wrote: “Registered sex offenders should NEVER under any circumstances have access to children.

Currently, federal and state laws do not prohibit sex offenders from using surrogacy to obtain children. Our Protecting Children in Surrogacy Act closes this dangerous loophole by banning https://t.co/6uDaDKuerE”. The statement highlights her legislative effort to restrict individuals with sex offense convictions from accessing children through surrogacy arrangements.

Later that day, Mace published a message marking the holiday: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms across South Carolina.

There is no greater gift and no greater job in the world. https://t.co/GYZJg9PXjM”.

In another post made on the same day, she referenced scripture and emphasized her commitment to serving her constituents: “Mark 10:44-45 “Whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We were put here to serve YOU, the great people of South Carolina. https://t.co/W1fVF5BHn5″.

Nancy Mace has held her seat in Congress since defeating Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and now residing in Charleston, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
