In a tweet posted at 01:27 UTC, Mace commented on Rep. Tony Gonzales’ decision not to seek re-election, stating “Tony Gonzales dropping his re-election bid is nothing more than a slap on the wrist compared to the accountability he should be facing.”
Later that day at 02:00 UTC, she addressed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s knowledge of his state and past political ambitions: “We shouldn’t have to teach Tim Walz about Minnesota. He’s the Governor. His one job is to know his state. And to think, this is who tried to be Vice President of the United States. Embarrassing.”
At 12:25 UTC, Mace highlighted her office’s participation in a community event in Bluffton: “Our office attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Kirks Mansion in Bluffton. Originally built in 1858, this historic home has been beautifully restored and now serves as a classic Lowcountry wedding and event venue, preserving its rich heritage while creating new memories for”
Mace has served as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham. She previously held a seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 before moving to Charleston.
She graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
