Rep. Nancy Mace, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, shared her thoughts and activities on July 5, 2025, through a series of tweets. Mace has been an active voice for her constituents since she replaced Joe Cunningham in 2021.
In a tweet posted at 2:34 PM UTC, Rep. Mace emphasized the importance of reliable care for veterans, stating that “Our veterans should never have to worry about floodwaters shutting down their care.” She highlighted that those who served the country deserve dependable healthcare regardless of weather conditions.
Later that day, at 4:00 PM UTC, Mace introduced Bozley, an English Bulldog adopted from the Berkley County SPCA. She described him as “his mom’s right hand man,” noting his sweet and gentle nature and support for The Citadel and UGA with the cheer “Go Dogs, and Go Dawgs!”
By 7:00 PM UTC, Rep. Mace celebrated resolving over 12,000 constituent cases, illustrating her commitment to assisting the Lowcountry community with issues ranging from veterans’ benefits to IRS problems. She reiterated her dedication by stating, “When we say Lowcountry First, this is what we mean.”
Nancy Mace was born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and now resides in Charleston. A graduate of The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree, she has served South Carolina’s 1st District since being elected to Congress after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020.
