U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, posted a series of tweets on October 6, 2025, alleging that South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson dismissed the majority of cases involving alleged pedophiles in a Lowcountry county and calling for federal intervention.
In her first post at 8:45 p.m., Mace stated: “Did you catch this? We just EXPOSED South Carolina AG Alan Wilson for dismissing over 92% of p*dophile cases in one Lowcountry county. Read the full release https://t.co/9NBi81yixZ https://t.co/dfhvT237pp”.
Later that evening, at 9:30 p.m., she added: “South Carolina failed Logan Federico once. We won’t let it fail her again. The DOJ needs to step in and show Alan Wilson what accountability and justice truly mean. The death penalty is the ONLY justifiable consequence for a monster like Alexander Dickey. Justice for Logan https://t.co/bU9ccy7RkN”.
At 9:57 p.m., Mace posted a third message: “South Carolina AG @AGAlanWilson is now PANICKING and trying to confuse the media about our FOIA and our discovery he DROPPED or DISMISSED 92.5% of cases for p*dos he was ‘prosecuting.’ We’re not confused. Alan Wilson is confused. Here it is for ALL to see. HOLD THE LINE. https://t.co/Dbby0l6SRV”.
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the state House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. In addition to her legislative career, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
