U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of statements on November 4, 2025, criticizing Charleston Airport executives for their handling of security footage requests and related privacy concerns.
In her first post at 03:01 UTC, Mace alleged selective disclosure by airport officials: “Instead of releasing ALL of the footage, like we FOIA’d, the Charleston Airport executives are busy playing political games. Only releasing what they want you to see. We want you to see it ALL. See how we’re standing there waiting to board our plane like a normal person does?”
Later that morning at 03:19 UTC, she addressed additional grievances regarding personal information exposure: “They doxxed our location. They doxxed an employee’s car. And they’re mad we said the word ‘incompetent’? Spare us. Go clutch your pearls harder.”
By 04:33 UTC, Mace commented on newly released video material and potential legal actions: “The airport video that just dropped will BLOW YOUR MIND. I am discussing ALL LEGAL OPTIONS with my very good attorneys who have a reputation for winning in court. Just received the full video. The airport failed to provide us the footage we requested – so we got it”.
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st congressional district since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace is also a graduate of The Citadel, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
