U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who has represented South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress since 2021, announced several developments affecting her constituents through a series of posts on May 29, 2026.
In a post at 14:30 UTC, Mace wrote, “MACE WIN: We helped secure the largest infrastructure grant in South Carolina state history. $195 million to improve Long Point Road for the Port. The Port of Charleston is one of the largest job creators in our state and generates a staggering $87 billion in annual statewide”.
An hour later, at 15:30 UTC, she addressed public health and regulatory issues, stating, “Clean food. Clean water. Honest science. It’s time to put the health of the American people ahead of corporate profits and hold government agencies accountable to the people they serve. We fully stand with President Trump and the MAHA initiative because South Carolina families”.
At 16:30 UTC on the same day, Mace highlighted constituent services by noting recent efforts to resolve Medicare and Medicaid cases: “We’ve solved 214 constituent cases with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, helping return $323,000 back to the people of South Carolina. When seniors and families are buried in red tape, delayed payments, or denied answers, we step in and get results. Helping South”.
Mace succeeded Joe Cunningham as representative for South Carolina’s 1st district after serving previously in the state House from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and now residing in Charleston at age 45, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
