Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, shared updates on social media regarding legislative initiatives and personal congratulations.

On December 17, 2025, Mace posted a congratulatory message to Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina: “Big congratulations to @DonaldJTrumpJr and Bettina on their engagement! Wishing you both happiness, joy, and a beautiful future together. Merry Christmas!”

Later that day, she addressed her stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs in Washington D.C., stating: “We’re cutting off the taxpayer gravy train for DC’s DEI bureaucracy. We introduced The No DEI in DC Act to shut down 16 DEI offices and ban a single dime from ever funding DEI in DC ever again. DEI is DOA with President Trump in the White House.” The post referenced new legislation aimed at eliminating funding for DEI offices within the District of Columbia.

In another post made on December 17, 2025, Mace discussed federal contracting policies: “Federal contracting rules have shut out the 60% of Americans who don’t hold a college degree, even when their military service, certifications, or on-the-job training make them qualified. Our Bill requires agencies to prioritize real skills. This is just common sense and opens”. The message highlights proposed changes to prioritize practical experience over formal education credentials in federal hiring.

Mace has served as South Carolina’s 1st District representative since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. She previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
