Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media emphasizing the importance of funding for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and national security concerns.
On March 26, 2026, Mace wrote, “Congress shouldn’t recess until TSA is funded.”
Later that day, she addressed the role of TSA agents and legislative actions regarding their pay: “TSA agents show up every single day to keep American travelers safe. They don’t deserve their paychecks being held hostage. President Trump made sure it didn’t happen.
The House passed a bill to support full funding for DHS. Every Republican voted yes. Over 95% of Democrats”
On March 27, 2026, Mace commented on broader security issues involving Americans abroad and military involvement: “The safety of every American is our top priority.
American civilians in the region need to get home, and our troops need to stay off the ground. Both are non-negotiable.”
Mace has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
