Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st congressional district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on November 3, 2025, regarding an airport security breach and recent national security incidents.

In her first post at 12:01 p.m. UTC, Mace announced plans for a public briefing: “Getting ready to hold a press conference regarding the airport incident and security breach on Thursday. You’re not going to want to miss this. It’s on. HOLD THE LINE”.

Later that day, at 2:35 p.m., she addressed safety concerns following two high-profile violent events: “After President Trump was shot and Charlie Kirk was murdered in cold blood, safety is more important than ever. And I will not apologize for protecting myself, my children, my employees or my constituents. If you are an incompetent government employee and want an apology, you”.

At 3:32 p.m., Mace followed up with further criticism of airport security measures: “The media can lie, but the receipts can’t. We notified airport security with the exact time, location, and vehicle details. They never showed. We did our jobs — they didn’t. *note: Staff names have been blurred from this screenshot for their protection.”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District since 2021 after serving in the state House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Her educational background includes graduating from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
