U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, currently serving South Carolina’s 1st district, criticized her congressional colleagues in a series of posts on March 7, 2026, regarding the House vote on releasing records related to sexual harassment allegations within Congress.
In her first post, Mace wrote: “We don’t want to hear a single word from the 357 members who voted against our resolution to release Congressional sexual harassment records, pretending to care about the Epstein victims. They had their chance. Their vote showed exactly where they stand.
We will always stand up https://t.co/smwlgLqW5V” (March 7, 2026).
She continued in another message posted less than half an hour later: “Members of Congress – Republican and Democrat – voted against disclosing the sexual harassment files of their colleagues. Now they’re lying to you about why.
My resolution redacted all personally identifiable information of victims, alleged victims, and witnesses – going far https://t.co/2KkyHKnCWe” (March 7, 2026).
In a subsequent post that same evening, Mace stated: “Congress is full of panicans tonight. The same ones screaming release the ‘Epstein’ files – are the same ones hiding the sexual harassment files of their colleagues from you.
Tell Members who voted against the bill: STOP LYING about why they voted against the bill.
Keep up the https://t.co/uAq5vJB0Er” (March 7, 2026).
Mace’s comments come after her proposed resolution aimed at making congressional sexual harassment records public was rejected by a significant majority of lawmakers from both major parties. She emphasized that her proposal included measures to redact all personally identifiable information related to victims and witnesses.
Representative Nancy Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Prior to her tenure in Washington, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
