U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 30, 2025, addressing issues related to criminal justice and political leadership.

In one post, Mace referenced comments by Zohran Mamdani and recent violent crimes: “Communist Zohran Mamdani says ‘violence is an artificial construct.’ Tell this to the families of Logan Federico and Iryna Zarutska, both brutally murdered by career criminals who should’ve rotted behind bars for the rest of their lives.” (September 30, 2025).

In another tweet published minutes later, she commented on Senate leadership: “Imagine being the Senate Minority Leader and taking orders from a socialist bartender.” (September 30, 2025).

Later that day, Mace addressed a specific crime in her home state: “What happened to Logan Federico right here in South Carolina was not random, it was the deadly consequence of weak-on-crime leadership. She was just 22 when a repeat criminal with nearly 40 arrests and 25 felonies dragged her out of bed and executed her in cold blood.” (September 30, 2025).

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
