U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on April 8, 2026, expressing criticism toward the Department of Justice and referencing Pam Bondi’s obligations following her tenure.

In a tweet posted at 17:30 UTC, Mace stated, “A Department of Justice with nothing to hide doesn’t avoid a subpoena.” An hour later, she followed up with another post: “The cover-up continues.”

Later that evening at 19:01 UTC, Mace referenced Pam Bondi, the former Florida Attorney General, writing: “Fired or not, Pam Bondi took an oath in the name of justice, one she should uphold in good conscience. Compliance is not optional just because you no longer hold the title.”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st congressional district since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and holds a degree from The Citadel earned in 1999. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston.
