Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, criticized her colleagues in a series of posts on September 17 and 18, 2025, for voting to protect Rep. Ilhan Omar from unspecified action.
In a post dated September 17, Mace stated: “Tonight, 210 Democrats and 4 Republicans sold out and chose to protect Ilhan Omar, a woman who mocked the cold-blooded assassination of an innocent American husband and father, who has openly supported ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, and who has repeatedly incited political”.
Later that evening, she reiterated her accusations: “Ilhan Omar mocked the cold-blooded assassination of an innocent American husband and father. She’s supported ISIS. She’s supported the Muslim Brotherhood. She’s incited political violence. And tonight, Congress protected her.”
On September 18, Mace compared congressional actions to those of ABC regarding commentator Charlie Kirk: “If a broadcaster won’t tolerate attacks on Charlie Kirk, why should Congress? ABC did the right thing. The House failed miserably tonight. We won’t forget.”
Nancy Mace was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Before serving in Congress beginning in 2021—after replacing Joe Cunningham—she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
