U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 19 and 20, 2025, addressing issues ranging from the conduct of legal professionals to calls for federal intervention in a murder case.

On October 19, Mace criticized an attorney’s alleged misconduct: “Lawyers aren’t above the law. You’d think someone who went to law school would know this. A disgusting abuse of power, the justice system, and the law by Attorney Barrett Brewer. Justice is coming. HOLD THE LINE.” This tweet was posted at 19:33 UTC.

Later that evening, she addressed the case of Logan Federico and called for action from the Department of Justice: “We will not forget Logan Federico or the system who failed to keep her killer off the streets. We’re calling on the @TheJusticeDept to step in and make sure the monster who murdered her faces the death penalty. The DOJ must act NOW. Justice for Logan Federico can’t wait.” This statement was published at 20:15 UTC.

On October 20 at midnight, Mace shared a personal moment reflecting on her district’s landscape: “Nothing beats a Sunday sunset in the Lowcountry. “

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives between 2018 and 2020 and holds a degree from The Citadel obtained in 1999. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, she currently resides in Charleston.
