U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, shared a series of posts on December 4, 2025, addressing her views on political power and congressional action.

In one post, Mace wrote, “Politics is anything to hold on to power and to enrich the powerful. Altruistic true believers need not apply. Look how many people go into politics with no money. And look how wealthy they are when they leave. Obscene doesn’t begin to describe it. And if Dems and Republicans” (December 4, 2025).

Later that day, she commented on legislative priorities: “Conservatives want action NOW, not later, from Congress. ome of us have been waiting decades to see Congress fulfill the will of the people. I’m tired of waiting and so too are the American people.” (December 4, 2025).

A third post marked a personal occasion: “STAFF TAKEOVER Happy birthday Congresswoman Nancy Mace! #48 “ (December 4, 2025).

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. House since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
