U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of tweets on January 5, 2026, addressing topics ranging from criminal justice to international politics and state-level oversight.
In her first post at 20:52 UTC, Mace wrote: “Throw the book at him and make an example for anyone watching.”
Later that evening at 21:45 UTC, she commented on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s stance in relation to former U.S. President Donald Trump by posting: “Maduro in 2024: ”Come for me, do not take too long coward.”
This didn’t age well with President Trump in charge. FAFO.”
At 22:25 UTC, Mace addressed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s handling of a daycare fraud investigation involving Somali-linked operations. She tweeted: “Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz either enabled a massive Somali-linked daycare fraud scheme or was asleep at the wheel while taxpayers were robbed blind.
Either way, it’s FAILURE at the highest level.
Dropping out doesn’t stop him from answering to @GOPOversight on Feb. 10.
Lawyer up,”
