U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, made a series of statements on her social media account on January 8, 2026, criticizing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett.

On January 8, 2026, Mace posted: “Minnesota has been burned by Tim Walz before. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.” Later that day, she called for the resignation of the Minnesota governor with the statement: “Governor Tim Walz should resign.”

In another post from the same date, Mace addressed Rep. Jasmine Crockett during an Oversight Committee session. She wrote: “Jasmine Crockett talking about fraud today in Oversight. Her ghetto accent and ‘persona’ is a fraud perpetuated on the American people, Ms. Private school.”

Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace resides in Charleston and is an alumna of The Citadel, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
