Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media account on February 19, 2026, criticizing the application of justice in the United States and drawing comparisons to actions taken by the United Kingdom regarding the prosecution of individuals associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
In her first post at 14:45 UTC, Mace wrote, “A nation that allows the powerful to escape justice is not a nation of laws. It is a nation of exceptions. And the exceptions always seem to apply to the same people.”
Later that day at 15:31 UTC, she followed up with another statement urging reflection on allegiances within society: “Remember which side you’re on. The side of the people or the side of the powerful. The side of the children or the side against them. The side of corruption or the side of those exposing it.”
At 15:45 UTC, Mace commented specifically on international legal efforts related to Jeffrey Epstein’s associates, stating, “The UK has officially done more to prosecute Epstein predators than our own government. Shameful.”
Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. In addition to her political career, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
Her recent posts reflect ongoing public discourse about accountability for influential figures and government action regarding high-profile criminal cases.
