U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of updates on March 9, 2026, detailing her office’s recent activities both abroad and at home.
In a tweet early that morning, Mace wrote, “Our office has helped almost 50 South Carolinians evacuate Israel. If you are one of the lucky Americans few still stuck overseas, please DM and my office will assist. “ (March 9, 2026). Later that morning, she added, “We have folks on the ground hustling.” (March 9, 2026).
By midday, Mace shifted focus to local issues in South Carolina. She reported on a meeting with Folly Beach officials: “We met with Folly Beach’s Mayor Bizzell and the public safety administration to see their work on the Center Street Storm Drain Project and to go over priorities we can help with at the federal level.

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Prior to her congressional service, she was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999.
