U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, shared updates on her social media about a recent rescue operation and other topics relevant to her constituents.
On March 13, 2026, Mace posted about a significant experience involving the rescue of Americans from the Middle East: “The most humbling experience of my lifetime. Almost 200 South Carolinians and Americans, men, women and children, rescued from the Middle East (3 different missions).” She later added an update after returning to the United States: “Just touched down in the U.S. Can’t celebrate just yet. There are Americans still behind. We don’t leave our people.”
Later that morning, Mace marked National K9 Veterans Day with a tribute to service dogs: “Today we recognize National K9 Veterans Day. These dogs serve alongside our military and law enforcement, detecting threats, saving lives, and protecting those who protect us. They’re not just animals they’re heroes who put themselves in harm’s way without hesitation.”
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st congressional district since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham in Congress. Before her current role, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
