Rep. Nancy Mace, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, recently took to social media to engage with her constituents during a road trip to Washington D.C. Mace, who replaced Joe Cunningham and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020, is actively participating in legislative activities.

On July 2, 2025, Rep. Nancy Mace announced via Twitter that she was “going live in 5 minutes” as she traveled to Washington D.C. The purpose of the trip was to vote on what she referred to as “President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.” She invited followers to join the journey and come prepared with questions.

Later that day, Mace updated her followers with another post on Twitter, stating “1 hour down, 8 to go,” expressing optimism about passing the bill and encouraging her audience to submit their questions.

Concluding her series of updates, Mace thanked participants for their engagement through a brief message shared on Twitter, expressing gratitude for their involvement.

As a representative of South Carolina’s 1st District since 2021 and a graduate of The Citadel with a BS degree obtained in 1999, Nancy Mace continues her legislative efforts while residing in Charleston at age 45.
