U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, addressed her constituents through a series of social media posts this week. The tweets covered local community initiatives, participation in regional events, and a direct response to circulating rumors about her congressional tenure.

On December 6, 2025, Mace highlighted an animal adoption effort by introducing Apple as the “District Dog” of the week. She wrote: “This week’s District Dog is Apple! Apple is a loving, rambunctious boy who loves playing with his friends and relaxing on the couch. He’s looking for his forever home, and we’re partnering with Libby and Mace’s Place to help make it happen. To adopt Apple or support the https://t.co/6ub7fmhIdm”.

Later that evening, she posted about attending a local event on Hilton Head Island: “Hilton Head sunset at The Carolina Cup supporting The Heritage. Tonight. https://t.co/r8FkM3Xnuf” (December 7, 2025).

In a subsequent tweet early on December 7, Mace responded to speculation regarding her role in Congress: “Addressing the FAKE NEWS rumors … No one is resigning from Congress. https://t.co/wpuZuykFOJ”.
