South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who has represented the state’s 1st District since 2021, highlighted recent economic and policy developments in a series of social media posts on August 8, 2025. The posts focused on Century Aluminum’s expansion in South Carolina and changes in health policy attributed to President Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In her first post at 15:27 UTC, Mace wrote, “South Carolina is winning with President Trump in the White House.
Century Aluminum is expanding in the Lowcountry: 100 new jobs, $50 million invested, and a stronger South Carolina economy.
Fair trade.
American jobs.
Stronger industry.
This is what America First looks”.
One hour later at 16:28 UTC, she continued to emphasize the economic impact by stating, “Huge win for South Carolina!
Century Aluminum is investing millions to expand, made possible by President Trump’s trade policies.”
Later that day at 17:30 UTC, Mace addressed health policy changes involving both President Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., posting “Common sense is finally making a comeback thanks to President Trump and RFK’s health agenda.
We’re done funding child mutilation. Your kid isn’t your science project.”
Nancy Mace has been active in national politics since replacing Joe Cunningham as U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 1st District in 2021; prior to that she served in the state legislature from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
Her recent statements come amid ongoing debates about industrial investment tied to federal trade policy and contentious national discussions regarding healthcare legislation affecting minors.
