Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues related to child exploitation, survivor advocacy, and political dynamics involving former President Donald Trump.
On March 7, 2026, Mace referenced her involvement in local advocacy efforts by stating, “In January, we held a press conference in Mount Pleasant with over a dozen local moms for this exact issue. Travis Reed Gaye was charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of second-degree sexual exploitation, he then went on to violate his parole,” she wrote.
Later the same day, Mace shared her recent engagement with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking and abuse. She posted on March 7: “We met last week with more survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking and abuse. They gifted us a signed copy of Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Reading her story and standing alongside other survivors remind us why this matters. We are in this together, survivors”.
That evening, Mace commented on national politics by asking: “Have you ever seen the swamp try so hard to take someone down, as they do President Trump?”
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
