Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, announced several initiatives and recognitions on her official Twitter account between April 11 and April 12, 2026.
On April 11, Mace highlighted legislative efforts to support American fishermen: “MACE WIN: Our Protect American Fisheries Act will protect fishermen all around the country from anticompetitive foreign practices.
‘NOAA’s fishery disaster program must finally come to terms with the reality that imports completely dominate the U.S. market including for cod,” she posted.
Later that day, Mace shared news of federal funding for local infrastructure projects: “MACE WIN: We helped secure authorization for $7.5 MILLION for wastewater and stormwater projects in Beaufort County.
Growth without infrastructure investment is a problem waiting to happen. This funding gets ahead of it. Clean water and better stormwater management keep our” she wrote on April 11, 2026.
On April 12, Mace congratulated a local law enforcement leader: “Congratulations to Chief Stephanie Price of the City of Beaufort Police Department for being selected for the 2026 Ted Poe Award for Excellence by a Public Official!
Our office nominated Chief Price through the Survivors and Justice Caucus, and being chosen from a competitive” she stated.
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel (1999).
