U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, recently highlighted a series of local and national initiatives through her social media posts.

On April 6, 2026, Mace announced the allocation of federal funding for a regional transit project: “MACE WIN: $25.9 million secured for the Lowcountry Rapid Transit project. The Lowcountry is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. Our roads and transit systems must keep up, and this grant is ensuring they do. Lowcountry Rapid Transit will connect Ladson, North”.

In another post dated April 7, 2026, she addressed concerns about federal spending at the Department of Veterans Affairs: “The VA spends nearly $1 BILLION a year on software, with insufficient tracking to ensure these resources are being used efficiently. Duplicate licenses. Unused licenses. Millions in preventable waste. No accountability. Our Veterans Affairs Management and Oversight of Software”.

Later that same day, Mace shared details from a meeting with Brooke Burris of The Formation Project: “Our office met with Brooke Burris of The Formation Project, an organization developing data-driven strategies to stop human trafficking and empower survivors. Partnering with healthcare, law enforcement, and community organizations and guided by data, they help survivors move”.

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the state legislature from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston.
