Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on May 15, 2026, addressing issues ranging from law enforcement support to military funding and veterans’ resources.

In a tweet posted at 20:29 UTC, Mace wrote, “When an entire party consistently sides with criminals over the officers risking their lives to protect us, this is not a policy difference. This is a divide in moral clarity.”

Later that evening at 21:30 UTC, she highlighted the significance of military installations in her district by stating, “The Lowcountry is not just home to military installations. It is the backbone of American national defense.

Since coming to Congress, we have secured $944.8 MILLION in NDAA authorizations for Lowcountry military installations. Every dollar is a direct investment in the men and”

At 23:30 UTC on the same day, Mace addressed efforts to improve services for veterans: “Making sure our veterans have the resources they deserve is a top priority.

We secured authorization for $30.4 million through the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Beaufort County. This state-of-the-art facility will offer”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
