Later that same day, Mace expressed appreciation for medical professionals involved in her father’s care: “I want to thank the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at the Ralph H. Johnson VA, Roper Hospital, Roper Hospice, and First Light for the amazing care my dad received. From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of my family and me, thank you. From the time we learned he had cancer”
