U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of statements on her official social media account on March 11, 2026. The posts addressed issues related to public safety, federal funding for first responders, and support for former President Donald Trump.
In a post directed at New York State Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, Mace questioned his stance on police funding: “Do you still believe in defunding the police after this week, Zohran?” (March 11, 2026).
Later that day, Mace expressed support for former President Trump’s administration: “President Trump is doing exactly what he promised, restoring common sense to Washington and delivering for the American people. No more chaos. No more excuses. Just results.” (March 11, 2026).
Highlighting recent federal assistance to local emergency services, she wrote: “MACE WIN: Delivering for our first responders. We helped bring home $432,000 to equip Charleston’s fire department and safeguard the Port of Charleston. LOWCOUNTRY FIRST.” (March 11, 2026).
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
