Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, shared a series of posts on April 18, 2026, highlighting local events and addressing national political issues.

In her first post at 14:15 UTC, Mace noted the significance of a major sporting event in her district: “The RBC Heritage is underway right here in SC-01 on Hilton Head Island. 58 years of world-class golf. Wishing a great tournament to all competing this year.”

Later that afternoon at 15:45 UTC, she celebrated the atmosphere and community spirit in her region by stating: “Happy Saturday, plaid nation. No better day to be here in the Lowcountry. South Carolina Strong.”

In a third post at 18:12 UTC, Mace shifted focus to national politics with allegations against another member of Congress: “Eric Swalwell was protected by his party for years. They knew he was a predator and did nothing. The same party claims to be the biggest champion for women and victims. We thank the brave survivors who came forward and shared their stories. Women on the Hill and everywhere else”.

Mace has served as U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 1st District since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham, following an earlier term in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace is also an alumna of The Citadel, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
