Rep. Nancy Mace, U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account between May 31 and June 1, 2026, detailing recent legislative actions and policy initiatives.
On May 31, Mace announced support for a bipartisan measure to protect seniors from financial exploitation: “We voted YES on the Empowering States to Protect Seniors from Bad Actors Act. This bipartisan bill establishes a grant program at the Securities and Exchange Commission to fund state-level efforts to protect older adults from bad actors looking to take advantage of them.”
Later that evening, she referenced a new investment initiative aimed at future generations: “Trump Accounts will give children born between 2025 and 2028 a $1,000 investment to set their futures up for financial success and freedom. Making America Great Again has always been about more than politics. It is about believing in our country. We work every single day to make”.
In another post dated June 1, Mace promoted tax legislation designed for working families: “The Big Beautiful Bill is for the hard-working, middle class American people. The largest tax cuts in American history. Real relief for the people who earn it. South Carolina families are feeling the effects of an administration putting America First.”
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
