U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, shared updates on her recent activities and views through a series of posts on March 8, 2026.
In a morning post, Mace announced her office’s participation in a local business event: “Our office attended the ribbon cutting for Bark and Bubbles, a dog grooming business on Lady’s Island. We will always support new local businesses in the Lowcountry, especially those that help care for our animals. South Carolina STRONG.” (March 8, 2026)
Later that day, she marked International Women’s Day with a statement reflecting on women’s achievements and her own milestones: “Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and the strong biological women who don’t ask for permission, break barriers, and refuse to back down. As the first woman to graduate from The Citadel and the first woman elected to Congress from the state of South Carolina, we know” (March 8, 2026).
In an evening update, Mace discussed her appearance at a business council event in Washington D.C., emphasizing congressional efforts to support South Carolina: “We spoke at the South Carolina Business Council’s Monthly Breakfast in Washington DC. Our mission in Congress is simple: stand up for the people and businesses who make South Carolina strong. We’ve delivered: $400+ million in federal grants for South Carolina last year “ (March 8, 2026).
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Before joining Congress, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
