U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who serves South Carolina’s 1st district, addressed a range of policy concerns in several posts on April 7, 2026.

In her first post, Mace advocated for tax reform related to homeownership: “The American dream should not come with a tax penalty. The Making Homeownership Affordable Again Act eliminates capital gains taxes on sales of principal residences and any home sold to a first-time homebuyer. This will help seniors downsize without a massive tax burden, putting https://t.co/6QA5RC67l2” (April 7, 2026).

Later the same day, she criticized federal refugee resettlement practices: “A government of the people, by the people, and for the people does not quietly resettle tens of thousands of refugees in American communities without a single vote of Congress. The federal government has been resettling refugees in American communities without asking Congress. https://t.co/ACBCIfbTfT” (April 7, 2026).

In another post that day, Mace commented on state education funding: “South Carolina tax dollars should not go to schools and universities promoting this kind of nonsense. https://t.co/7b8VKOJjRS” (April 7, 2026).

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
