U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in Congress, recently posted a series of statements on her social media account regarding legislative initiatives and national issues.
On May 20, 2026, Mace announced the authorization of significant funding for veteran healthcare facilities in Beaufort County: “MACE WIN: We secured authorization of $30.46 million for a new VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Beaufort County. The following day, on May 21, Mace addressed concerns about loyalty among government officials born outside the United States: “Ilhan Omar is just one of many foreign born members of this government who have made clear, time and again, their loyalty is not here. The American people deserve leaders who put America first.”
Later that same day, she commented on criminal justice policy and recent legislative action: “No ifs, ands, or buts. If you rape a child, you should face the death penalty. We introduced the Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act to make it law across the country. Nancy Mace has served as U.S. Representative since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
